Doctoral Dissertation Award

Nominations for the award can be made by doctoral advisors or by the candidates themselves, provided that they are members of the German Association for the Study of English. Eligible for submission are excellent dissertations in the field of English studies (literary and cultural studies, linguistics, or literature pedagogy) that were completed in the last two years (date of the final doctoral examination).

Required documents (in Pdf format), to be submitted by e-mail to irmtraud.huber@uni-konstanz.de

  • a copy of the doctoral thesis and a copy of the Ph.D. certificate or a confirmation of the completion of the doctoral examinations from the dean’s office,
  • the two advisors’ reports,
  • a short summary of the doctoral thesis in English (1,000 words)
